Ismael Serrano Gracia (I. Serrano) received his degree in Computer Science in 2012 from the University of Castilla-La Mancha. He scored the highest mark in his final degree project about person detection. This application uses depth cameras with OpenCV libraries. Just after, he started as a researcher at the VISILAB group at the same university. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Vision and Machine Learning at the same University in October 2016 whose title is "Contributions to the problems of Fight Detection in Video" scoring the Cum Laude marks. Then he got a research grant from the Spanish Ministry of Science & Research. During his Ph.D, he spent time as a visiting research student at the Vision and Learning Lab, Imperial College, London, the United Kingdom with Dr. Tae-Kyun Kim.
He worked at Leica Biosystems Company as an AI Research Associate in November 2016 (a Marie Curie grant) working on computer vision and machine learning tasks for 1 year.
He joint as Researcher at Vicomtech (Jan 2017) working on computer vision and machine learning tasks for industrial projects.
He is currently a R&D at everis Aeroespacial and Defece (since April 2019) working on UAV integraction and computer vision and machine learning applied for UAVs.
His main interests are Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and UAVs. He has worked on topics related to Anomaly Detection, Action Recognition and Detection, Face Detection, Random and Hough Forests classifiers, Medical Image Processing, Bioinformatics, Fight and Violence Detection, ...
